Honoring a Granville County Resident
Mrs. Dorothy Gupton Wilkinson, Granville County home demonstration agent from 1944 to 1977, will be inducted into Dr. Jane S. McKimmon Family & Consumer Sciences Hall of Fame at the Extension & Community Association’s Centennial celebration on Sunday, October 27. The dinner and ceremony will begin at 5 p.m. at NCSU’s McKimmon Center in Raleigh. A multimedia presentation will trace the history of home demonstration clubs as they became Extension Homemaker Clubs and now, ECA.
The Granville County Center of N.C. Cooperative Extension is offering seats exclusively to a limited number of Granville County residents who wish to attend the event for a discounted price of $20, first come, first reserved.

If you wish to attend at the discounted rate, please send your name, address, phone, email and payment of $20 to NCCE, Granville County, P.O. Box 926, Oxford, NC 27565. Reservations will be accepted until October 11 or whenever reservations reach full capacity, which ever occurs first. Make check payable to Granville County. Or, you may drop off the above information and payment at NCCE, 208 Wall St., Oxford. In addition, individual seats will be available using the invitation package at $40 each through October 18.
